Serves as National Safety & Security Manager on a Full Time Basis supporting the TSSC (Technical Support
services
Contract) program located in Washington, DC.

POSITION Overview:

Provides expertise and technical assistance to senior management for the implementation of the company safety and security policies by establishing and managing a safety & security program that meets or exceeds all current standards. Represents the program and company in all safety matters pertaining to internal and external activities. Receives assignments in terms of broad objectives from the TSSC National Program Manager and Company Safety Director. Reviews, interprets and provides assistance on safety regulations and standards. Monitors company safety performance and conducts project safety inspections.


Responsibilities:

Provides program leadership, support and assistance to all levels of management in achieving program and corporation goals for reducing incidents

Assigns and provides technical supervision of safety & security performance, qualifications and programs.

Conducts safety audits through review and analysis of performance of safety records and safety inspections of various offices and projects in compliance with SHARP Management.

Participates in pre-job conferences to present the company safety policy and explain implementation on the project.

Assists the Workers' Compensation Analyst in coordinating medical care and case management of employees injured on the job.

Reviews loss control reports from company insurance carriers and regulatory inspection agencies and confers with appropriate management representatives on compliance with regulations and citations.

Represents the company at national safety conferences.

Manage and track program leading and lagging indicators.

Participates in management review sessions with program management and client.

Accurately and promptly respond to program, client and corporate requests for information.

Manage Risk Specialists, in collaboration with the National Quality Manager.

Qualifications
PREFERRED EDUCATION/
Experience:

4-year degree from accredited college or university in engineering, safety or other relevant field and 10-15 years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety, including program management experience. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other professional certification preferred.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Requires extensive knowledge of Federal and state health and safety regulations and reporting procedures, as well as strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity is also required. Good self-starter/ability to perform functions with minimal oversight.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Moderate travel to regional offices and job site locations will be required.

Must be able to meet customer security requirements (moderate to high risk). A background check by Federal authorities will be performed.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
