PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Duplication Technician will primarly be responsible for videotape and DVD duplication, basic DVD authoring, video encoding, file transcoding and Avid digitizing.

Responsibilities AND DUTIES
Duplication and encoding, using a variety of formats including HDCAM and Digital Betacam and IMX.
DVD authoring.
Creation and encoding of clips for internet use.
File creation and transcoding
Digitizing for non-linear editing.
Review of QC evaluation reports to verify accuracy
Following work order and client instructions.
Performance of other production duties, as needed. SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Understanding of signal flow, video scopes, equipment operation and duplication principles.
Understanding of video file types and transcoding
Working knowledge of Avid Media Composer a plus
Working knowledge of MS Windows MS Word and Excel.
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, and work effectively under changing priorities and challenging deadlines.

Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in communications, video production or a related field, or equivalent.
2-4 years work experience in a post production or production environmentTO APPLYEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
