## Requirements
Roles/Responsibilities
Digital Communications/Creative (50%)__
Take photos and videos of volunteer groups to share via social media and the DCCK website
Interview and write feature stories on volunteers
Manage social media accounts related to the volunteer program
Implement outreach strategy to acquire new volunteers
Manage emergency email alerts for volunteers when groups cancel
Volunteer Program Administration (50%)__
Assist with the design and implementation of workshops and activities for new volunteer and educational opportunity
Call volunteer groups weekly to confirm schedules and group sizes
Create weekly volunteer schedule using VolunteerHub and Excel
Lead volunteer orientation and set-up when needed
Any other tasks and projects that may arise
Experience/Qualifications
Coursework and interest in journalism, communications, or digital photography preferred
Comfortable interviewing volunteers in-person and on the phone
Experience with social media and writing for the web
A strong interest in nonprofits, volunteerism, and social causes
Ability to take initiative with creative ideas and work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office- Word and Excel
Strong presentation skills
Must be highly organized, motivated and dependable
Location: Washington, DC
Employment Type: Internship
Salary: CompetitiveEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
