Nonprofit HR seeks Program Assistants and Coordinators to support our nonprofit clients in the metropolitan DC area. We fill on-call, temporary (short & long term), contract and direct hire positions.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and assisting with day-to-day program operations.
- Record keeping, taking minutes and leading meetings when called upon
- Handling incoming and outgoing program correspondence
- Data entry and creating visual presentations like brochures, letters, email etc.
- Review and reconcile invoices and bills for granters, vendors, contractors etc.
- Interviewing and training new employees
- Answering multiline phone system, directing phone calls as appropriate and taking accurate messages
- Meeting, directing and welcoming granters
- Filing and organizing documents
- Maintaining and purchasing office supplies
- Support with vendor relations
Nonprofit HR provides a link between mission driven professionals with a passion for working in nonprofits and nonprofit organizations looking for mission driven temporary staff. We work with all categories on nonprofits which include Trade Associations, Foundations, Charities, Political and Religious organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge and experience with Access, membership and/or fundraising databases such as iMIS is extremely helpful.
- A polished professional image and demeanor, effective interpersonal skills and ability to take initiative.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize while working with a team.
- Experience working or volunteering for nonprofit organizations, and a strong commitment to making a difference in the community.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
