The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a member of the Exercise Team responsible for daily operations, planning, and execution of national-level exercise programs and priority initiatives. You will manage and administer radiological and nuclear detection (RND) exercise programs, projects, and support activities designed to prevent an act of terrorism; analyze and evaluate major aspects of the program; develop long-range program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones, and develop new ways to solve problems related to RND capabilities and systems.
This position is located in the Training, Exercises and Program Assistance Division (TE&A;), Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO), Department of Homeland Security (DHS); Washington, D.C.

Major Duties, include, but are not limited to:
Analyzing and assessing exercise programs in order to make recommendations for improvements in effectiveness of processes and systems.
Conducting long-range planning and analysis of new substantive exercise program methodologies where precedents are scarce or nonexistent in the area of radiological/nuclear detection policies and operations at all levels of government.
Developing long-range exercise program management plans for efficient and effective program implementation and administration, including exercise evaluation, analysis and reporting methods.
Recommending changes in objectives or emphasis in functions under the organizations purview.
Using cost-benefit analysis to set priorities and track expenses in support of the agency mission, including making the best use of present resources, securing appropriate funds, assisting in planning for future resource needs, estimating short-and long-range personnel, budgetary, space, and equipment needs.

Your resume must demonstrate meeting the following specialized experience description in its entirety: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the federal Government (can be obtained in the public or private sector); conducting ALL of the following: 1) administering preventive radiological and nuclear detection programs, projects, and support activities; 2) conducting studies to evaluate program efficiency and effectiveness; 3) using cost-benefit analyses to set priorities and track expenses in support of an organization''s mission; and 4) conducting long-range planning and analysis of programs. KNOWLEDGE OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES TO MANAGE EXERCISE PROGRAM BUDGETS.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
