Responsible for expanding, developing andmaintaining customer relationships between the Distribution Division and publicradio producers and stations who participate in the public radio satellitesystem (PRSS). Works with assignedtechnical staff to gain an understanding of new technology and its applicationto the public radio interconnection system. Represents the Division to users
groups throughout the public radio community. Works with customers to defineneeds and required services. Reportsthese needs back into the Account Management Manager for the purpose ofexpanding the customer base and service offerings.
1. Represents the Distribution Division to a wide array of PRSS customers and potential customers in person, via email, or through organized telephone contact.
2. Manages a portfolio of assigned accounts (radio stations and producers)
3. Interacts with station management and staff and producers to manage customer relationship and promote the Distribution Division's goals, services and capabilities.
4. Runs / supports customer relationship programs and campaigns to enhance / build relationships with new and existing customers.
5. Identifies key questions, clarifies any issues and frames discussion topics to organize and focus customer interactions and input sessions.
6. Presents to customers at their locations and to groups at conferences, trade shows and events.
7. Works with cross-divisional teams, including business and technology architects, to relay summary information about customer needs and future requests / requirements of the Distribution system.
8. Trains both technical and non-technical customers on the operating procedures and capabilities of the Distribution systems.
9. Assists producers with program changes, additions, and cancellations and communicates critical information to internal staff.
10. Prospects for new business opportunities to expand client base for use of the ContentDepot and other Distribution services.
11. Plans and schedules client meetings and coordinates travel logistics
12. Identifies and tracks new business drivers which are key to new needs development
13. Maintains a high level of familiarity with all aspects of public radio, including the future direction of program delivery and program usage by stations
14. Participates in maintaining a usable customer database of key information needed to identify and service customers.
15. Endeavors to support new customer and customer service metric goals established for the department.
16. Oversees registration and interconnection processes for new producers and stations.
Performs additional duties, as assigned/requested by Account Manager
Education
Bachelor's degree in related area plus 4 to 6 years of equivalent work experience in Account Management ideally building/managing accounts within media / public radio, experience in program production or as a public radio producer (independent or station based) and or experience working at a public radio station in some capacity in which interaction with ContentDepot or automation systems was incorporated in duties and responsibilities.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
1. Knowledge of account management, marketing principles and business practices
2. Knowledge of public radio industry, station based operations and program production
3. Ability to establish rapport with customers and good working relationship with colleagues
4. Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
5. Excellent written and oral communications skills
6. Public speaking and formal presentations skills
7. Demonstrated ability to use and understand technical products including computers and complex software, in particular to adequately translate customer requests and/or user requirements to internal technical resources.
8. Ability to train others on technical equipment and software used for radio production and station operations
9. Ability to interact with internal technical staff and senior management team via both in-person and written communications modes.
10. Proven track record of being self-motivated and proactive.
11. Willingness to learn new things and ability to learn quickly.
12. Exhibits interpersonal flexibility and shows an ability to get along well with other people.
13. Knowledge of preparing formal reports and or PowerPoint presentations is a plus

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
