These are late summer - early fall USAID Internships - Pathways positions located in three divisions, 1. Office of Gender Equality & Women's Empowerment, 2. Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, and 3. Office of the White House Liaison in our Office of the Administrator (AID), located at our Headquarters in Washington, DC. Must be enrolled in a qualifying academic program US Citizenship Must be at least 16 years old GPA -3.0 & above grad; 2.0 & above undergrad;In good academic standing Able to obtain and maintain a security clearance (secret) Males born after 12/31/59, must be registered with Selective Service Based on education and grade level, the Student Trainee - Interns selected will be responsible for assisting these offices with a variety of tasks, which are listed below.
Office of Gender Equality & Women's Empowerment:
The intern will contribute toward integrating gender equality and promoting women's empowerment both internally and externally in policy and programming. The intern's primary responsibilities include being able to provide creative, logistical, and administrative support to the office through working on a number of short and long-term projects, conducting research, planning events, and supporting broader cross-cutting coordination efforts.
Candidates should possess a general knowledge about U.S. government agencies, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency
Center for Faith-based and Community Initiatives (CFBCI):
This office works to better equip faith-based and community development organizations around the world as they provide assistance to people in need. We do this by serving as a bridge between small non-governmental organizations and USAID; by connecting groups with relevant points of contact at USAID and informing groups of various partnership opportunities on a range of development challenges; and by encouraging collaboration among the people and organizations addressing human suffering around the world.
The intern is responsible for assisting the CFBCI team by working on a number of short and long-term projects, some of their choosing, conducting research, planning events, and managing the CFBCI office phone line and email account. The intern will also support the Director with other tasks as needed.
Office of the White House Liaison:
Data entry and organization, scheduling, liaising with various departments, coordinating information and logistics.
Proficiency in excel and data record keeping experience, international relations background, political acumen, pays attention to detail, dependable, hardworking, collaborative in nature. Experience in human resources is a plus, congressional experience welcome, scheduling experience preferred, confidentiality is essential.

The appointment for these USAID Intern positions are at the grade level for which the applicant qualifies in accordance with the criteria below:
GRADE - LEVEL OF EDUCATION
GS-4 - Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree.
GS-5 - Completion of 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.
GS-7 - Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education.

Step 6 - Submit Documents

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
