Our client is searching for an IT Business Analyst Washington, D.C. area. Job Scope: This role is for a Business Analyst with exceptional attention to detail and experience in supporting complex IT projects. The candidate must have outstanding technical writing and communication skills, to assist with the Board's multi-year Data Center Relocation Project. The candidate will be responsible for providing accurate data analysis reports and assist with migration scheduling for the DCRP Project Managers (PMs), particularly during the application migration phase to ensure continuity and de-confliction of schedules. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist Project Managers with gathering data to scheduling activities associated with moving IT equipment from one data center to another, supporting efforts to de-conflict schedules and help with Change Management processes for application migrations to the new hardware and maintain manifests of systems and services to ensure timely delivery of IT assets and resources between facilities; This will require engagement with the business (client) and infrastructure (IT) representatives in detailed discussion to validate and reconcile software and hardware inventory mappings.
Design, develop, author and maintain high quality operational support documents based upon functional needs associated with monitoring and managing a data center, eliciting the materials in a collaborative effort with technical analysts, managers and project team members.
Materials will be cataloged in a standardized format and posted for use and collaboration on designated SharePoint sites, with the data being worked from multiple sources that require consolidation, normalization and regular synchronization.
The resource will develop, update, and maintain communication materials as well as help staff develop project documentation.
Demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Excel including import/export data, formulas, pivot tables, reporting.
At least 2 years of Project Scheduling experience utilizing Microsoft Project.
2
years' experience with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Power Point.
Familiar with Microsoft SharePoint for collaboration and workflow management.
Strong communication skills
Strong technical writing skills
Able to work with different teams
Experience in application testing
Motivated and able to work with less supervision
