Summary:
The U.S. House of Representatives, Office of House Employment Counsel, has an immediate opening for an experienced Associate Counsel. This position provides legal counsel in a non-partisan fashion to employing offices of the House of Representatives on employment and labor law matters, under the general supervision of the Counsel. The successful applicant must have extensive knowledge of federal employment laws, a minimum of five years of litigation experience, and the ability to work in a team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:
Temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities in a tactful, pleasant and professional manner. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Must have a law degree and be licensed to practice in any state, and have extensive knowledge of federal employment laws. Must be detail oriented.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
