As an Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Provide assistance to customer's Counterterrorism Division for the receipt, analysis, and immediate assignment for action of all emerging International and Domestic Terrorism threats.
Receive threat information and evaluate the information through appropriate research and analysis so that each threat can be deemed credible or non-credible.
Conduct appropriate analysis and investigation as directed by unit supervisors.
Ensure proper notification of other law enforcement agencies on threat-related items.
Ensure that all National Counterterrorism Center Threat Matrix items are entered in customer database.
Provide assistance via the program Help Desk
Provide training in all aspects of the mission.
Develop analytical methods and detailed procedures, deviating from accepted practices to the extent required in order to collect and develop necessary information utilizing surveys, time studies, task analysis, statistical analysis, interviews, observations, and/or review of policy documents.
Report findings to management personnel with recommendations for improvement. Conduct detailed, in-depth analysis of administrative/program activities and present alternatives, conclusions, and recommendations to management for the development and execution of proposed activities.
Perform in-depth studies on a variety of issues as directed by executive management in support of the overall mission.
Provide results to include recommendations to be used by management as part of the decision-making process.
Study, analyze, and develop methods to improve the accuracy and adequacy of information systems.
Provide management officials with appropriate evaluation material for effective direction of administrative/program operations.
Advise on the benefits and uses of automated programs to improve the efficiency of operations/activities.
Evaluate specific problem areas, identify needs, and coordinate the implementation of new projects.
Analyze and evaluate the impact of objectives, operations, and resources on the feasibility of implementing new projects and programs.
Receive planning issues and develop and devise objectives to measure progress toward goal achievement and apply methods of evaluation to determine effectiveness of recommendations on administrative/program operations.
Perform in-depth analyses to determine the nature of requirements, logical work and information flows, and whether technology advancements can and should be integrated into operations.
Gather, interpret, analyze, and correlate narrative, workload, and statistical data regarding the functions, workload, and productivity of the organization/program.
Compile, reconcile, and correlate workload data from a variety of sources with different reporting requirements and formats.
Review, analyze, and interpret data to obtain accurate and relevant information.
Research and analyze existing policies, reports, files, guidelines, directives, laws, statutes, objectives, operations, and available resources.
Interpret, clarify, coordinate, implement, and/or recommend policies, procedures, instructions, and requirements for the organization/program.
Analyze policies and procedures to determine the impact on and effect of such regulations on current and future operations.
Revise methods for collecting data; develop and/or adopt new productivity measures.
Arrange and conduct meetings with external representatives to review their respective organization's programs, functions, operational practices, organizational plans, policies, procedures, and prior evaluations.
Prepare and deliver briefings and presentations to management officials.
Compose memoranda, executive summaries, analytical narratives, detailed statistical or descriptive reports, and/or concise graphs/charts in order to present sound recommendations.
Prepare reports that present findings, cite applicable policies, identify causative situations, and recommend corrective actions. Evaluate, research, and prepare complete and concise responses to in-depth inquiries, reports, and other matters. Assist in the development of manuals, guides, and information packages.
Position Requirements:
Possess a Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university or three (3) years of relevant work experience in business management, project management, financial management, business analysis, or systems engineering.
Have comprehensive knowledge and experience with government regulations, policies, and limitations.
Demonstrated experience and ability in acquiring knowledge to trouble shoot issues in a help desk or similar environment
Demonstrated experience in oral communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team environment.
Demonstrate written communication skills sufficient to explain actions taken and how recommendations were derived.
Knowledgeable with software programs such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).
Security Requirements: U.S. Citizenship and Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. Must be clearable up to TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
