This position is located within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Office of the Secretary, and supports the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs (ASPA), in Washington, DC.
ASPA serves as the Department's principal Public Affairs office, leading efforts across the Department to promote transparency, accountability and access to critical public health and human services information to the American people.

Maintain an office calendar, schedule appointments and arrange meeting rooms and prepare meeting agendas.
Screen incoming telephone calls, mail, publications, and other correspondence and route to appropriate contacts.
Serve as a representative of executive management in their contacts with high ranking organization officials and executives.
Prepare, organize, and package informational materials for the preparation of briefing materials, summary reports, and other deliverables.
Organize and present material for use by management, and ensure materials are developed in anticipation of special assignments.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (or equivalent) in the normal line of progression for this occupation as stated below.
At the GS-11 level:
Qualifying experience for GS-11 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-09 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience coordinating the planning, development, and execution of executive support functions; implementing the priorities, commitments, policies, and program goals of an executive office staff; and performing scheduling and analytical assignments for senior management.
OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or L.L.M. if related.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
