Job Details:
MedStar Physician Partners/MedStar Medical Group seeks a qualified candidate for a physician practice located on New Mexico Avenue in Washington , DC. This position includes both clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory setting under supervision of a physician. Duties may include venipuncture, documentation of vital signs, and assisting physicians with patient exams.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High school graduation or equivalent; completion of an approved Medical Assistant program preferred.
Experience: Externship experience in a medical office or ambulatory health setting preferred; experience working with electronic medical records preferred.
LICENSE/CERT/REG: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) by American Association of Medical Assistants or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) through American Medical Technologists within 6 months of hire. CPR certification.
SKILLS: Clinical competency as verified annually. Excellent customer service/patient interaction skills. Basic computer skills preferred.

Additionally, knowledge of front and back office duties is preferred. Experience with electronic medical records is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
