Job Summary
Works closely with faculty and other subject matter experts to develop simulation curriculum and progress the
effective use of simulation-based training among assigned faculty. Assigned to specific faculty members
and/or departments where issues are moderately complex.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Associate's degree in healthcare related field plus more than 10 years of relevant job
experience or Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field is required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: 5 years experience that includes developing and implementing clinical training and education.
LICENSE/CERT/REG: No special certification, registration or licensure is required.
SKILLS: Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Adjusts content and teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs and faculty objectives.
Advocates the use of simulation-based training within the hospital healthcare system.
Assists faculty and others in the assessment of needs and identification of desired outcomes.
Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department
policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation
regulations.
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with client's administrators and healthcare
professionals.
Develops and provides faculty with instructional tools and training on clinical simulation.
Develops faculty skills and competencies in the areas of clinical simulation, blended learning solutions, and
adult learning.
Develops, identifies and evaluates instructional materials in a variety of media and formats.
Develops/coordinates simulation courses related to initial and ongoing competency validation.
Ensures their assigned courses meet deadlines and standards of quality.
Incorporates principles of adult learning in the planning, implementation and evaluation of simulation
initiatives and exercises.
Leads tours of the Clinical Simulation Centers and demonstrates equipment to new users and visitors.
Maintains data confidentiality and security.
Maintains proficiency in existing and emerging simulation technologies and clinical applications, including
basic theory, design, and implementation.
Participates in research data collection, management and analysis.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Recommends changes in processes and procedures.
Reviews progress on initiatives with manager.
Role plays as needed for simulation courses.
Serves as an educational consultant and instructional designer to faculty/departments.
Works with the Clinical Simulation Center Operations Manager and the Technologists to ensure appropriate
resource allocation for use in simulation training and education programs. Assists with set-up and clean-up for
simulation courses.
Physical Requirements
NO PATIENT CARE/CONTACT: Visual Acuity. Manual dexterity. Moderate to heavy physical effort: Physical
mobility with ability to lift, push or pull up to and including 35 lbs. Walking, standing, sitting for prolonged
periods. Ability to hear and orally communicate. Ability to read, comprehend and write the English language.
Working Conditions
ATTENDANCE: Regular job attendance is an essential job function.
NO PATIENT CARE/CONTACT: Mostly sedentary work in office type setting. Use of office equipment on a
regular basis including computers, phones, etc. Potential for incidental exposure to patients, visitors and
family members with a variety of physical and psychiatric/mental health conditions. Position may require
flexible scheduling, off-shifts, weekend, holiday, on-call and/or overtime hours of work in accordance with
department policy or procedures.

REPORTS TO: Sr Educator - SiTEL
SUPERVISES: No direct reports
HR Use Only: CB Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
