The Field Service Technician is responsible to - perform locomotive commissioning including loading software programs, conducting routine tests and implementing field modifications as necessary. - respond and carry out to completion any troubleshooting and repairs to assigned service requests. - identify non-conformance issues and makes recommendations regarding locomotive performance and service contract facilities. - ensure test equipment and installation equipment is in proper working order. - report daily on activities completed, deferred, requiring further action or material. - participate in shift work and On-Call assignments/schedules as required. - act as a mentor and provides on-the-job training to lower level Technicians if required. - conduct on-going system operation training for the customers.
