This position is located in the Office of the Associate Administrator for Administration, Office of Acquisition Services, Federal Railroad Administration in Washington, DC. You will support the organization with closeout processes for Acquisition Management Operations. Also assist senior staff members and the Director of Acquisition Services on closeout business process improvement matters. Assist with the corrective action plans surrounding financial and contract administrative closeout actions. This includes the planning and evaluation of acquisition, administrative business processes and activities supporting the Federal Railroad Administration''s mission.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum 4 years of experience in contract administration activities concentrating on contract closeout and settlement of audit report findings and their impact on final cost settlements. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and substantial experience in the use of software applications (i.e.,Excel and PowerPoint)in generation of reports and presentations for and to senior management and executives. Have experience in producing such reports and presentations in a fast paced environment with short deadlines and political overtones.
TELEWORK : This position is eligible for ad hoc telewok (on a supervisor approved intermittent basis).
PLEASE NOTE: This is a TERM appointment (not-to-exceed 2 years). Term appointments are non-status, non-permanent appointments of limited duration. Term employees are eligible to earn leave and generally have the same benefits as permanent employees including health and life insurance, within-grade increases and Federal Employees Retirement System and Thrift Savings Plan coverage. Term appointments may be extended without further competition, but may not exceed 4 years.
