JOB SUMMARY We're seeking an experienced cloud security engineer who will use in-depth knowledge of cloud security priniciples and technologies, industry best practice, professional experience, collaboration, and good judgment to inform and deliver on an information security strategy and roadmap. This individual will influence the direction of the information technology at Carilion Clinic as it relates to adoption of cloud services and infrastructure, reviewing, and influencing decisions on migrating from on-premise data centers to cloud platfroms. This role will have a special focus on evaluating, documenting, evangelizing, and implementating security reccomendations for technology solutions, processes, and policy requirments for AWS, Azure, and other Cloud Service Providers. Key tasks include:
Takes strategic direction and applies frameworks, roadmaps, and informs reference architectures that incorporate enterprise standards and direction to improve the global corporate security posture while adressing risks. Work with Carilion Clinic's technology services teams to continually improve the security posture of their application portfolios using a risk-based approach. Review projects for security concerns and provide security guidance to business partners, engineering, governance, and support teams. Apply and execute a sustainable security framework to allow secure technology standardization. Provides thought leadership within highly visible projects and initatives to ensure apporapriate security controls are in place to protect Carilion Clinic data. Support management in understanding architectural information risk within/against Carilion Clinic. Analyze market and security trends and adjust the strategic roadmap accordingly. MINIMUM
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Minimum seven years of experience in security administration experience in a large, complex environment. Experience in monitoring and supporting IDS/IPS, Firewall, SIEM, DLP, and log aggregation hardware/software required. Licensure/Certification:
Valid Virginia drivers' license and dependable transportation.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
System & Network Administration, IT SecurityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
