Position Overview:
Analytic Services, Inc. (ANSER) is seeking a Domestic Counterterrorism Strategy and Policy Analyst to conduct policy analysis and propose recommendations on combatting terrorism and Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) domestically as part of a Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) MA team. The analyst will:
Provide policy analysis and develop recommendations on combatting terrorism and Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) domestically in coordination with DoD and interagency partners . Develop White Papers on national level Counterterrorism (CT) policy related to DoD's roles, missions, and functions domestically. Support technical analysis on emerging CT and CVE topics specified by client leadership. Support DoD senior leader participation in National Security meetings and other Interagency coordination by developing and coordinating preparatory materials. Support coordination and Integration of DoD domestic CT priorities into United States Government CT planning and implementation. Maintain critical documents related to domestic CT strategy and policy. Required Skills/Education/
Experience:
Possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI). 10
years of related experience. Master's degree in a relevant field. Desired Skills/Education/
Experience:
A working knowledge of specialized CT units or security/law enforcement units in the interagency and DoD organizations. At least five years relevant experience working with Department of Defense organizations. Demonstrated understanding of OSD and DoD component efforts to defeat violent extremist organizations that present a threat to the Homeland. At least five years relevant experience in policy development and coordination/ implementation of USG and Agency level policy for domestic Counterterrorism and managing or overseeing client projects or programs. Demonstrated understanding of Department and component efforts to deter/defeat violent extremism Working knowledge of interagency specialized domestic CT and terrorist travel/entry into the States. Demonstrated ability to analyze systems and operations, organize data and prepare analytically based implementation recommendations for CT and terrorist travel/entry into the United States related policy issues. Experience writing and briefing accurate and timely products to senior leaders that distill and convey essential information and sound analysis, anticipating requirements and proactively acting. Ability to apply and translate portfolio specific expertise into senior decision-making support that furthers organization's strategic priorities and objectives. Ability to clearly communicate technical expertise to strategic level, non-expert decision maker / leaders. Ability to work within formal and informal teams by developing productive relationships with counterparts, disseminating information and collaborating with counterparts across DoD and the interagency.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Government & MilitaryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
