Job Description:
This position is located in the Office of the Director for Administration and Management (ODA&M) providing direct support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense decision-making forums - to include the OSD Management Forum and the Pentagon Governance Council. This support includes both meeting management/execution and strategic analysis. Candidates will provide project management support, developing project schedules to ensure completion of major milestones and tasks as well as significant stakeholder engagement and coordination. Position requires familiarity with DoD organization and decision-making and the ability to work in fluid environments with evolving direction. In support of support to senior leader meetings, specific tasks include:
Developing and producing agendas, read-aheads, and meeting minutes. Drafting and updating DoD Chartering Directives and Issuances. Maintaining SharePoint site and calendar. Tracking RSVPs for Senior Executives. Tracking, integrating, and reporting on strategic documents, initiatives, and activities of governance councils. Using tools and portals (i.e, JIRA, SharePoint, and other similar tools) that link and integrate authoritative data sources for tracking, monitoring, and reporting on senior decision making. Developing and leveraging tools to generate tailored reports to support senior leader oversight and management of key governance initiatives. Promoting and maintaining strategic and high priority initiative tracking and reporting. Provides support to the ODA&M on priority actions, projects, and initiatives. SKILLS &
Experience:
Required:
Active Secret clearance required at date of hire. Ability to produce quality work independently or in a group setting, provide solutions to customer issues, and solve problems quickly. Comprehensive familiarity with DoD and OSD policy, priorities, and strategy. Professionalism, tact, and experience working with senior DoD leadership. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team. Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and the ability to translate highly technical information into plain language for effective communication with DoD and other USG staff in the performance of all duties, tasks and services. Experience with meeting management and execution and senior leader stakeholder engagement. Expertise in project management, metric development and comparison, and other data-based capabilities for effective management of a complex organizations. Energetic and the capability to work in a fast-paced team environment, adapt to rapidly changing requirements, and multi-task capabilities. Candidate must provide documentation to substantiate fully vaccinated status against the COVID 19 virus. Preferred:
Focus on operational and project performance/improvement with knowledge of tools that enable effective decision-making processes. Familiarity with the DA&M Issuance process and DoD Instruction 5025.01 DoD Issuance Program. Familiarity with DoD Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS). Familiarity with the DoD continuity of operations (COOP) and continuity of government operations/processes. EDUCATION & YEARS OF
Experience:
Master's degree in a relevant field of study. 12 years' experience providing services to senior general/flag officer ranks and/or SES levels within the DOD, other government agencies, or industry corporate equivalents.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Government & MilitaryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
