What you will be doing:
Assume full operational responsibility of select ongoing Acquisition Programs within Apogee Provide transition leadership to stand up high-performing, highly engaged teams of personnel Plan, organize and manage resources to bring about successful completion of operational and contract goals and objectives Manage, monitor, and meet program/portfolio performance goals Manage labor and travel funds and milestones for combined programs Lead profit and loss portfolio management responsibilities Identify operational risks; assess and manage infrastructure needs, contractual gaps, and coordinate solutions Proactively interface with employees, subcontractors, customers, and contracting officers and representatives to ensure products are delivered with quality and team expectations are managed appropriately Lead and support staff hiring across multiple contracts Manage high-performing teams, ensuring solutions are appropriate and staff wellbeing is regularly assessed Provide staff mentorship and career growth goal setting for staff Lead Apogee organic business development opportunities within managed portfolio Support company growth strategies, plan development, and contract execution Support bid proposals and business level projects Coordinate with Accounting/Finance and Contract Management teams to execute high-quality services delivery to government customers Maintain financial standards and reporting Create, retrieve, and request contracting reports Represent Apogee's culture and mission statement in all interactions with employees, customers, and partner companies Implement Apogee's staff engagement plan to ensure culture, work/life balance, and future opportunities remain viable What you will need to have:
Security Clearance Required:
Top Secret (TS) SCI eligibility preferred Master's Degree with 16
years' experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 18
years' experience At least fifteen (15) years of experience working within DoD and/or Federal acquisition community At least five (5) years leading and managing multiple acquisition services efforts in the federal contracting space Extensive knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System as directed by DoD Instruction 5000.02, OPERATION OF THE ADAPTIVE ACQUISITION FRAMEWORK Deep knowledge of and experience with Defense Acquisition Framework processes, methodologies, and artifacts Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders Expert level skills in verbal and written communication Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time Preferred Qualifications and Experience Project Management Professional certification is strongly preferred DAWIA Level III Program Management certification strongly preferred Ideal candidate's experience is primarily within Defense contracting in cities where the acquisition community is a recognized part of the local economy At least 10 years working with DoD organizations and personnel is preferred
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Operations ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
