MetroStar Systems is looking for a Security Systems/Information Assurance (IA) Engineer to join a high-performing team in support of one of our nation's most elite missions on Pennsylvania Avenue in DC. This career opportunity will provide you with opportunities to:
Analyze and evaluate system security technology, policy, and training requirements in support of Federal, DOD, and Intelligence Community (IC) and INFOSEC policies. Develop, maintain, and coordinate System Security Plans (SSP) to meet all IC and DOD accreditation requirements Collaborate with the highest level of government officials and the world-class teams that support them You'll love this position if you have (This is the stuff you MUST have to be a fit):

years of relevant experience An active CISSP or Security
Certification. Experience with NIST 800.53 current revision, ICD 503 and 507 guidelines, and DoD Risk Management Framework Experience with vulnerability identification and remediation. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and executive engagement skills We'll REALLY love you if you have experience with (This is the bonus stuff that makes you stand out):
NESSUS vulnerability scanning Splunk log correlation engine McAfee end point protection Patching servers and network devices IC incident reporting procedures Performing data collection and analytics using User Activity Monitoring tools. What your day will look like:
Review logs and scan results for known and zero-day vulnerabilities across multiple voice and data networks Provide expert assistance to the customer for incident mitigation Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities using alternate or compensating controls Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot IA software issues to ensure timely response actions to security incidents Implement applicable patches including IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA) IA vulnerability bulletins (IAVB) and technical advisories Recognize potential security violations and take appropriate reporting and resolution measures.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, IT SecurityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
