The team works with other departments to systematically capture, synthesize, and share internal and external evidence, consumer and market insights, competitive market intelligence and program experience to guide global, market level, and program level strategy. The Strategy & Insights team is seeking a Research Advisor I that will support the quality and ethical compliance of fit-for-purpose formative, design, implementation, and evaluation research. They will conduct data analysis and produce research outputs for a portfolio of research studies. Under the supervision and mentorship of a Senior Research Advisor, the Research Advisor will support a portfolio of PSI network members across Africa by providing compliance oversight, technical support, and capacity building. The Research Advisor will serve as part of PSI's global Strategy & Insights team and contribute to global research initiatives across the organization. We're looking for someone who is a self-starter, motivated to learn and open to being adaptable in their work. Your contributions Research Support -Support research design and provide technical review on research studies to ensure quality and compliance. -Conduct both quantitative and qualitative data analysis and produce concise, well written outputs (reports, insights decks, etc.) describing research findings for technical and general audiences. -Support implementation of company-wide research initiatives, including development of logframes, data and research use frameworks and tools, data capture forms, and data protection/quality initiatives. Program Management -Support the development, review, or documentation of annual research plans and learning agendas. -Support activity budgeting, monitoring of project timelines, and reporting. Thought Leadership / Knowledge Management -Contribute to the implementation of thought leadership and knowledge management agendas, including the development and internal and external dissemination of technical and programmatic briefs, webinars, and reports. - Work with country teams to support the documentation and knowledge management for research studies, including compliance and research documentation. Representation -Represent the research function for the department, project, or headquarters team internally within the PSI network. May present research results to donors and other external audiences Fundraising Contribute to new business development by contributing to or reviewing proposals What are we looking for? -Master's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field (e.g., MPH, MSc, MPP, MPA). -At least 3 years of related years of experience. Equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted. - Experience implementing quality assurance protocols during research implementation. -Experience submitting research protocols to Research Ethics Boards (REBs). -Ability to produce research products and tools with oversight and direction. -Experience designing, collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and presenting quantitative and qualitative research. -Extensive experience with quantitative or qualitative data analysis programs required. -Ability to provide research technical assistance to the PSI network with support and oversight from the Senior Research Advisor. -Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal colleagues. Able to work as a member of a team and independently. -Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability. -Demonstrate emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate with colleagues. -Proficiency in Microsoft 365, high level of knowledge of Microsoft Excel. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. -Proficiency in French or Portuguese preferred. -Experience living or working in Africa preferred. -Cultural humility and respect.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Quality AssuranceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
