Job Summary The Front End Developer is responsible for coding up user interfaces for website and internal applications, website troubleshooting, assisting development and QA with special projects, taking an active role in planning and cleaning up code for SEO, style guide/code conformity, page weight, and optimization. A Front End Developer has a strong knowledge of SEO guidelines, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and best practices for SEO, and website optimization. Occasionally, the Front End Developer will work off-hours with site-reliability engineering to remedy on-site issues. Job Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing site optimization, acting as a liaison between business, UX and Site-Reliability Engineering, updating internal documentation, and helping the Marketing and Creative Directors when necessary. As Senior Front End Developer, assist and educate other Front End Developers on best practices of front end development at Overstock and in general. This may include the responsibility to coordinate and manage the front end development work that is completed by you and your fellow Front End Developers on your team. Work with different development and QA teams to code HTML/CSS/JavaScript interfaces, test, and verify projects through deployment process. Oversee site optimization for SEO, cleaner and concise code, and code weight. Update internal documentation when new tools are available for developers to use and distribute the information to developers and their managers. Create reusable HTML, CSS and JS modules Build out templates using ReactJS for new features and layouts. Able to build custom JavaScript components/modules that can be reused by other developers. years of professional website coding experience Strong JavaScript Skills are a must. Must have a passion for clean semantic markup, with an attention to detail. Have a good understanding UI design, Usability, and Accessibility. Must be a CSS guru, with full understanding of specificity and cascade. Must know how to whip IE11 into submission and tame any other browser inconsistencies that pop up. Must be able to work fast and under pressure to create pages from wireframes and fix bugs. Must be passionate about web standards. Must be willing to assist other developers and guide them with better development standards when needed
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
