We are currently seeking a Senior Data Science Consultant with a passion for problem solving, envisioning solutions and systematic execution. This role will help grow our data management practice and will be called upon to rapidly apply new technologies, solution architect, program delivery, provide leadership and help develop the practice. The data management practice at Smartronix is expanding our capabilities across the digital landscape:
applied data science, AI, data engineering and insights, automation, and big data. We are looking for someone who has a strong technical background and has delivered data science solutions that is now growing their career towards consulting. The ideal candidate will also have cloud experience working with the various cloud service providers to deliver data science solutions. What to expect Work effectively as an individual contributor within a delivery-centric professional services team Support application of statistics, modeling, and machine learning to improve the efficiency of systems and relevance algorithms across our business application products Conduct data analysis to make product recommendations and design A/B experiments Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning, and transforming techniques Understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques Structure large data sets to find usable information Review and collaborate on recommendations and designs with other Smartronix SMEs Produce high-quality, well-written technical documentation Take ownership of solutions, assignments, actions items and issues, and remain accountable for their completion Work effectively with other team members, customers and key stakeholders and foster team success Provide transparent and regular status updates in requested format Be willing to learn, collaborate, contribute, and improve Required Skills Python (NumPy, Scikit-learn
Pandas) SQL (joins, group by) Strong foundation in probability and statistics (basic probability distributions, including normal, binomial, Poisson; hypothesis testing) Experience with and knowledge of foundational ML models:
decision tree, linear regression, logistic regression Familiarity and some experience with more advanced ML models (e.g. decision tree, random forest, gradient boosting, linear regression, logistic regression, multi-layer perceptron, other neural networks) Experience with cloud services/platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) Excellent communication skills Nice-to-have skills Advanced SQL (analytical queries and procedural SQL, e.g. pivoting/unpivoting, recursion) Experience with Linux operating system Experience with Windows command line, Batch files, and PowerShell Experience with PuTTY Linear algebra Natural language processing Data pipeline/ETL scripting/tools Worked with Apache Spark or other big data platforms Survival analysis Network science / graph analytics Experience with learning frameworks/libraries (TensorFlow, MXNet, PyTorch) What you need to succeed Top Secret security clearance BA/BS or MS degree with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Sciences) 7

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
