Regional Sales Director, Aerospace & Defense (Remote USA)

The Role We are seeking an outstanding sales leader to join our team as Director of Aerospace & Defense Sales. This position reports to the AVP of Intel. In addition to requisite passion, skills and experience, you will have a measurable track record in building and leading hard-working sales organizations. Experience in enterprise sales to the Aerospace & Defense industry and System Integrators is preferred, with desired emphasis on Software and particularly SaaS.You will drive a significant share of revenue for Splunk.
Responsibilities:
Directly lead the sales team and work closely with assigned technical resources and inside sales Consistently deliver high-reaching license, support and service revenue targets - dedication to the number and to deadlines Territory mapping, account planning and opportunity management Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and return on investment Work with inside sales and partners for maximum efficiency Use sales engineering and in-house as well as partner services resources Player /mentor, hands on coach for the team; very involved with account planning, strategy and sales calls Hire the right team to match our growth Assist team to establish and execute against a multi-faceted strategic plan that aligns with goals across the many divisions of each System Integrator. Understand how to use both international and domestic colleagues to expand deal size and value to the customer Good corporate citizen - two way flow of relevant and timely information; collaborate and work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources Provide timely and informative input back to other corporate functions, particularly product management and marketing Requirements:

years of confirmed experience building and running front line sales teams; ability to grow and scale upward with the company; second line management experience a plus 10
years direct and channel selling experience to large, federal enterprises with Aerospace & Defense (System Integrator) expertise Forecasting commitments and forecasting accuracy Outstanding management, interpersonal, written and presentation skills Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment Exceptional cross-functional collaboration Relevant software shown experience in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management Track record of success and knowledge with prospects and customers in the defined territory Minimum of a Bachelor's degree preferred; MBA a plus Must be US Citizen Location:
Remote but near a major airport preferred
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Sales Management & Operations, SalesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
