Plumber (CNRIC) Job
Summary:
EMCOR Services CES has an immediate need for a Plumber in Washington, DC.
The plumber position will be responsible for the prompt performance of assigned plumbing and related duties including installation of pipes, sinks, traps, washbowls, toilet fittings, drains, special laboratory sinks and drain tables.
Repairs and maintains valves, faucets, traps, sinks, vents and test/maintain backflow preventers.
Ensure quality workmanship and high work standards conforming to the published plumbing codes.
Maintain the quality and quantity of his/her work up to acceptable Company standards and in accordance with established policies Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for pipe systems for water, steam, waste, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Respond to client and tenant requests for repair of toilet/restroom facilities, cleaning of stopped drains and sewer lines requiring the use of motorized pipe cleaning equipment Repair and installations of all plumbing related equipment Service and maintain grease traps Service oil/gas separators Certify and maintain all backflow preventers Responsible for the completion of all PM / CM work tickets and record keeping assigned to his/her areas of responsibility Submit as required plumber's reports for all work completed Respond to emergencies at any time Perform inspections as required by Total Joint Commission (TJC) and AAALAC.
Assist other craft technicians as needed.
Train General Maintenance Workers and Laborers about plumbing practices.
Be able to read and understand architectural and mechanical drawings.
Be able to read and understand manufacturer's submittals and literature.
Be able to specify and order material and replacement parts.
Coordinate inspections, repairs, and installations with staff in affected areas to minimize disruption of the research facility and clinical operations.
Ensures compliance with department safety and quality standards to optimize effective utilization of resources and productivity.
Be able to understand and implement control policies and procedures.
Follow and implement Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
Complete Work Orders and Preventive Maintenance (PM) paperwork accurately in a timely and professional manner.
Attends weekly Tool Box safety meetings.
Obtain OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health Certification.
Qualifications:
Must be able to pass and maintain a CNRIC Green Security clearance Backflow Preventer Certification is a must Current or lapsed state contractor's license for the respective trade:
Evidence of passing the International Code Council (ICC) national journeyman or master certification exam Nationally recognized certification program Documented military journeyman level or higher experience in the respective trade, as identified on a DD214 Familiarity with NFPA 99 Med Gas Repairs is a plus Skilled use of wrenches, pipe cutting and threading tools, metal saws and other similar tools of the trade Proven in-depth knowledge of related building codes, regulations and ordinances Must complete an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health training class (supplied by EMCOR) Must possess a valid driver's license Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
