DevOps Engineer

EGlobalTech, a Tetra Tech Company, is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Business Solutions Practice out of Tyson's Corner, VA and support our federal customer site located in Washington, DC. (Currently remote) EGT is bringing cutting edge cloud technologies to the federal government utilizing DevSecOps principals to ensure quality delivery to the client. The ideal candidate will provide support to leadership and a team of software engineers, database analysts, and systems architects to design and create scalable, dependable, and maintainable systems. This person will play a role in modernizing IT systems within a government agency, and work alongside architects and developers to bridge the gap between theoretical and implemented solutions. Responsibilities Support the lead on designing and approving designs of new software or software integrations with 3rd party packages. Works with software engineers and management to help shape coding standards and software development life cycle best practices. Recommend software improvements and changes to systems, as needed. Perform software and data analysis to uncover issues and solve complicated problems that typically span multiple systems. Develops standards and technical documentation for existing theoretical design of software systems. Manage tasks and resources while utilizing modern project management principles. Required Qualifications 5
years working with devops build and automation tools 8
years' experience writing code (e.g. Java) Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required Excellent understanding of Git both GUI and command line (knowledge of Git Flow a plus) Familiarity with utilizing containers General understanding of network configuration (firewall rules, server-client connections) Proficient in securing network connections using TLS Familiarity with microservice based architecture Building/Deploying apps and systems using docker' Familiar with CI/CD tools This position requires a badge and/or clearance that requires an extensive credit and background check. Experience provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments via Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) Desired Qualifications AWS certifications and experience provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
