Manager of Accounting, Partner Payables, AP, and AR

The Manager of Accounting for Partner Payables, AP, and AR is responsible for managing various global accounting processes related to those key areas.
This includes fulfilling high-volume payments daily to our retail partners, supporting reporting needs, and responsibility for our AP and AR functions.
This role leads a team of accounting professionals who partner closely with external retail customers and internal customers, including Sales, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Information Technology.
Key Responsibilities Manage daily management of Partner Payables, AP, and AR while ensuring accurate and timely submission of invoices and payments.
Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, controls, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
Support retail partners with reconciliation, revenue share calculations, reporting, contracts, bank changes, store location changes, and reorganizations, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements for related accounts.
Lead staff in the preparation and review of account reconciliations and other relevant schedules to ensure accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP.
Partner with Treasury on the setup, testing, and maintenance of bank accounts.
Support new business initiatives and international expansion through participation on project teams, establishing new processes, testing, audit, controls, compliance, and staff training.
Review processes and initiate corrective actions to gain accuracy and efficiency.
Document procedures and establish best practices.
Hire, train, and develop accounting staff by providing performance mentorship and feedback.
Participate in external audits and fulfill auditor requests as needed.
Partner with IT to lead system upgrades and improvements for area of responsibility, acting as the accounting system subject matter authority to provide user support, training, and development.
Manage 1099 reporting, unclaimed property, and other tasks as assigned.
Education & Experience BA in Accounting or related field required, CPA/CMA preferred Proven experience working with GAAP 5
years of General Accounting experience and 2
years AP/AR experience 3
