Responsible for a variety of work activities involving researching computational complexity and creating analyzing algorithms to explore data structures that lead to highly efficient combinatorial algorithms in the agency's software and database projects for radio frequency assignment management.
Applies experience and advanced knowledge of computer science principles of computer science methods and techniques to store, manipulate, transform, or present information by means of computer systems.
Conducts Independent Operational Assessments (IOA) of complex computer architecture and software.
Responsible for collecting software requirements, designing, testing, evaluating, maintaining, and monitoring of several servers and software tools related to Frequency Management.
Monitors beta testing of software builds and creates test scripts that ensure requirements defined by government agencies have been met.
Reviews release notes to ensure they capture the fix actions contained in new software builds.
Reviews contractor regression testing to ensure it provides adequate protection for existing functionality.
Establishes and runs a configuration control board which is responsible for maintain software change request and enhancements.
Defines, plan and organizes assigned resources to accomplish organizational objectives; and responsible for monitoring the annual software support contracts.
Allocates approved budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements to accomplish small work-activities.
Tracks project costs to meet budget.
Works with project managers in developing a detailed project schedule and work plan.
Provides project updates consistently to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
Utilizes industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
Monitors progress and recommends adjustments as needed.
Serves as a key technical specialist for assigned activities including contract estimates, proposed materials, and production costs to determine whether they seem reasonable and accurate.
Ensures project documentation records are accurate and up to date.
Assists Contract Officer Representative (COR) in writing contract letters, Statements of Work, and other communications and notices.
Contributes to regular status reports regarding progress on projects.
Applies knowledge of program management to ensure Statements of Work are properly enforced and met.
Applies knowledge and experience of cyber-security and the requirements of the agency for safeguarding network infrastructure in their oversight of software products maintained and managed through software contracts.
Conducts threat and risk analysis and investigations to provide essential suggestions.
Monitors the research, testing, evaluation, and deployment of security procedures.
Reviews security-training materials and organizes training sessions for other teams.
Ensures the examination and assessment of security related technologies, and resolves security and other data-related problems.
Provides guidance to lower-level technical staff on how to solve difficult technical issues.
Contacts are internal and external.
Communicates project or work activity results to all levels internally and externally.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.

All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
