This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within US Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Mission Support Directorate, located in Washington, DC Law enforcement positions are expected to report to their duty station on a daily basis.
However, due to COVID-19, some positions in CBP are currently in an expanded telework posture.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:
To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary nationwide injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, the Federal Government will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement Safer Federal Workforce Task Force 2 pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees.

Qualifications
Experience:
You qualify for the GS-9 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Assisting with the coordination of transportation, speech preparation, and public affairsMaintaining chronological and geographic event listings for use in developing long-term calendars and travel itineraries for the senior leaderCoordinating all detailed travel planning to include aircraft and ground transportation, messages, passports and visas in support of official travelConducting research on a variety of documents in order to gather, correlate, analyze, determine and recommend solutions to resolve internal management problems and improve efficiencyAssisting in the development of information papers, charts or briefings NOTE:

Education Substitution:
GS-09:
A Master's degree, two full years of graduate education, a JD or an LL.
B.
degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for experience required at this level.
Check with your school to determine how many credit hours comprise two years of graduate education.
If that information is not available, use 36 semester or 54 quarter hours.
Combining Experience and Education:
To combine your education and experience, you must convert each to a percentage, and then add the percentages.
If your education is currently described in quarter hours, multiply by the fraction 2/3 to convert into semester hours then divide the semester hours by 18.
To determine your percentage of qualifying experience, divide your total months of experience by the required number of months of experience.
Add your percentages together.
The total must equal at least 100% in order to qualify.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (eg, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (eg, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You must:
Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; andMeet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 08/25/2022.
