Data Analyst (Health)

The Data Analyst provides data analysis, visualization, and project coordination to support a division within a government agency.
The Data Analyst will support a government agency team, liaise with other stakeholders, and help support and improve the division's data collection, analysis, and communication efforts.
Collaborate with government agency division and/or external stakeholders to review, clean, and analyze dataServe as a liaison between government agency division and external stakeholders (eg, government agency grantee; third party administrator)Conduct high-level data interpretation and analysis using a data analytics platform such as Tableau, SAS or STATA or RCreate dashboards and visualizations using TableauSupport or create written summaries and presentations that reflect the results of data analysis and present findingsProvide ad hoc data reporting as neededFacilitate collection of data from a variety of sources including grantee data, medical claims data, monitoring data, reports, and other sourcesProvide technical assistance and training to grantees and federal staff on data entry, data cleaning, and data visualizationAssist with projects that support the continual improvement of data collection and analysisComplete or support data entryOther data-related duties as assignedEducationRequires BS/BA degree.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience/Skills5
years of experience with quantitative and qualitative data interpretation and analysisExperience managing collaborative projects involving multiple stakeholdersFamiliarity with analytic software packages and data visualization toolsTableau developer experience is requiredExpertise working with MS Office suite of tools (Excel, Access, SharePoint)Experience with statistical software (SAS/SPSS/R/Stata) preferredExceptional analytic skillsStrong attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong project management skillsStrong team-oriented and interpersonal skillsProgram experience or educational background related to immigrants, refugees, and/or underserved populations with limited English proficiency is preferredThis position requires a Public Trust investigationScheduled Weekly Hours:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
