Government Business Development Executive

OverviewWe're looking for a dynamic salesperson to join CORT's Workplace Team to engage and develop revenue opportunities within the Federal Government marketplace.
The Business Development Executive will position furniture rental solutions to clients for short & long-term requirements within the federal government.
Examples of furniture rental requirements are swing space, short-term projects, and emergency services to name a few.
We develop relationships and demonstrate positive impact through utilization of CORT's furniture rental services aligned with the strategic goals of our clients.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling to or being employed within the Federal Government with an understanding of government regulations and purchasing processes.
Prior experience in the furniture industry is a plus but is not required.
This position will be based out of the Washington DC area, and will have national responsibilities outside of the DC market with up to 25% travel.
This position pays a base salary, plus monthly commission and car reimbursement, projected total earnings is up to $130,000 a year.
ResponsibilitiesDrive efforts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals by developing opportunities with new and existing Federal Government clients.
Educate potential clients on the benefits and value of furniture rental solutions.
Meet with decision makers of prospective clients to learn of goals and challenges.
Develop relationships with industry partners by attending industry networking events to attain new contacts, promote the company, and gain client interest in CORT's products and services.
Be the liaison for the client, identifying and representing their needs, and actively work to ensure fulfillment.
Initiate research for local market trigger events.
Develop and maintain sales plans to identify sales strategies and tactics to develop revenue opportunities with existing or new customers.
Develop and coordinate marketing activities to increase exposure to new clients.
QualificationsExperience selling to or employed by the Federal Government.
Proven experience in developing business within the Federal Government.
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent business experience.
Strong understanding of Government requirements and purchasing and procurement processes.
