40 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago POSITION SUMMARY Performs highly skilled predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work involved with heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

Responsibilities:
Start up, regulate, repair and shut down equipment.
Monitor, adjust and diagnose HVAC systems.
Perform daily inspections of all HVAC equipment.
Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspects of the system's operations.
Adjust controls to ensure safe and efficient operation of the system to meet demands for service provided.
Ensure that customer environment is within established parameters.
Ensure that the HVAC systems are operated and maintained within design, established guidelines, and procedures to provide continuous, safe, and efficient operation.
Interact with internal staff and management to resolve HVAC related problems in such critical areas.
Adjust day-to-day system operation to provide maximum efficiency.
Perform scheduled predictive, preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
Respond to all self and customer generated works requests.
Provide expertise, general oversight for HVAC projects, modifications, expansions, replacements and upgrades.
Review, drawings, plans, blueprints, monitoring work in progress and inspecting completed work.
Execute, and monitor environmental and safety compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Execute the hazmat communications program.
Analyze technical documents, reports, and materials and formulate appropriate recommendations to management.
Convert management approved recommendations into effective action plans.
Interact with HVAC Vendors, Contractors, HVAC Service Providers, and Professional Engineers and Architects.
Assist the Electricians when necessary, during shift work hours as directed or scheduled.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Senior Lead Engineer.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on HVAC experience.
Must possess a Third-Class Engineer District of Columbia license.
Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
CFC Certification.
Must possess a minimum of five (5) years' experience working with commercial office facility HVAC systems.
Must have strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational skills, superior oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions.
Business work hours are Wednesday-Saturday from 4:
00pm to 2:
00am, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
