Waste Transport Technician (11:00pm-7:30am with rotating weekends)

Responsible for the removal and handling of regulated medical (red bag), municipal solid (clear bag) and recyclable (green bag) wastes within Washington Hospital Center.
EducationHigh School Diploma or GED required Experience 0 to 6 months experience required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesRequires the ability to read, write and perform basic addition and subtraction.
Requires the ability to comply with basic oral and written instructions.
Removes solid waste (clear bag), regulated medical waste (red bag), and recyclable material (green bag) from the soiled utility/trash rooms located throughout the Washington Hospital Center, with the exception of the OR and Dietary which will remove the waste from their respective areas.
Visually inspects the waste material to ensure that it is properly separated into the categories and appropriate bins used for collection (i.
eno comingling of Red and Clear bag waste)Reports any improperly separated waste to immediate supervisor so proper separation can be educated and implemented.
Transports waste in covered carts directly to the disposal dock designated for each waste category; and loads it into the appropriate container (i.
ered bag in the container, clear in the compactor, recyclables in the compactor).
Washes the trash carts utilizing a wash station on the disposal dock location.
Cleans debris from the soiled/trash room floor, and, as needed, mops the floor and wipes down the walls of the soiled/trash room.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
