Duties Supports the Supervisory Foreign Affairs Officer for External Affairs in managing AF Bureau congressional outreach responsibilities.
Functions as the Deputy Spokesperson and serves as a senior liaison on behalf of the Bureau of African Affairs, interacting regularly with senior Department, and interagency leadership.
Provides supervision and expertise on messaging, media relations, and the press guidance process for AF Press Team and to Public Affairs Officers at posts.
Mentors, guides, and provides technical assistance to other AF Press Team members as directed by the Supervisory Foreign Affairs Officer for External Affairs.

Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience developing speeches, press guidance, social media and other messaging products with the Foreign Affairs community.
Experience overseeing and/or directing public affairs and outreach planning for an organization.
Experience drafting congressional briefings and hearings.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
