Power BI Developer (Currently Remote, DC Region)

US Citizenship and the ability to pass a Federal government clearance check are required.
Although this position is currently a full-time telecommuting position, it may require on-site work.
The selected candidate must live within commuting distance of Washington, D.
C.
Responsibilities:
Bring an analytical skill set with expertise in SQL, analytical/statistical techniques, and PowerBI visualizations to address emerging challenges, ad-hoc requests or to proactively identify opportunities.
Leverage PowerBI and other data analytics and user experience skills to construct visually pleasing, rich data visualizations.
Create data visualizations by connecting to various data sources including but not limited to Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Excel.
Work closely on a day-to-day basis with Federal staff and end users to understand needs and implement accordingly.
Create and build dashboards and reporting solutions that provide meaningful insight into areas of organizational interest.
Utilize and maintain data dictionaries to understand complex data sets.
Independently support activities on the full software development lifecycle--including design, development, unit testing, quality assurance, deployment, security hardening, and maintenance--for PowerBI applications.
Test and validate visuals to ensure accurate prediction of outcomes of interest.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
A minimum of 7 years of development or data science experience in total At least 4 years of experience developing analysis and visualizations with PowerBI At least 4 years using quantitative, analytical, or statistical techniques to model and visualize data At least 3 years using Oracle and SQL for query writing Demonstrated capacity to work closely with clients/end users PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Agile development software methodology Database or data warehouse development experience EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degreeProof of COVID-19 vaccination is a job requirement.
