The Grants and Compliance Officer will be responsible for supporting the preparation, submission and procurement of U.
S.
Government grants, including from the State Department and USAID.
The position will also collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the effective implementation and on-going management of grant awards according to government requirements.
The position will work extensively with the Finance team and review/submit all required reporting in a timely manner.
The Grants and Compliance Officer will also follow-up on relevant projects being completed in country offices.
Additional responsibilities will include pre- and post-award reporting, donor regulation compliance, and program budget oversight.
This role will require a strong understanding of grants management and compliance.
Experience with State Department and/or USAID funding is preferred.
Qualified candidates will ideally have approximately 3
years of relevant nonprofit experience.
Bachelor's degree is required.
Bilingual in Spanish or French is a plus.
This position is based in Washington, D.
C.
and will operate on a hybrid schedule.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience.

Responsibilities:
Provide critical support to the pre- and post-award government grants process Ensure that financial reporting and other donor reports are reviewed and submitted in a timely manner Collaborate with colleagues on the Program and Finance teams to ensure compliance with donor guidelines and regulations Review financial reports, grant proposal budgets, and budget revisions to ensure compliance and gain donor approval Communicate with country offices on various projects and to review funding requirements Ensure program compliance with donor and organizational requirements Train program staff on government funded program compliance and requirements Identify areas of compliance vulnerability Willingness to travel internationally to program offices
Qualifications:
Approximately 3
years of relevant nonprofit experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working with institutional donors including the U.
S.
Department of State and USAID Knowledge of grant regulations and compliance for US Government grants Accounting of finance experience preferred Experience working with people in-country a plus French or Spanish speaking a plus Ability to travel internationally Equal Opportunity Employer.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
