BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The purpose of this position is to operate specialized computer equipment to produce official university ID cards for students, faculty, staff, contractors, and visitors.
Operations Coordinator will also provide efficient and effective customer service to students, employees, campus community and vendors for other one card related services.
Coordinator will coordinate and enforce policies and procedures set by the university and communicated by the Bison One Card Program Director.
SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
Responsible for the direction of student staff.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts include faculty, staff, and students.
External contacts include vendors, contractors, and the general public.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for the production of official university ID cards for students, faculty, staff, and contractors.
Reviews legal documents such as government-issued IDs to ensure validity and accuracy for adherence to university policies related to card issuance.
Maintains logs of activities and completed work and provides reports to the Director.
Provides basic technical support for all card-related hardware including card printers, laptops, cameras, card readers, contactless readers, building/laundry controllers, building/laundry readers, point-of-sale terminals, peripherals, and ID card-related supplies.
Maintains knowledge of and complies with established university policies and procedures.
Works and communicates with other university departments to coordinate card production.
Provide the first level of support for the timely resolution of ID card-related issues, questions, and/or concerns from students, parents, university administration, and the campus community.
Supervises, trains, and schedules student staff.
Attends meetings and advises the assistant director of issues and concerns with current one card strategies, policies, and procedures.
Maintains all meal, stored value, access, and related transaction system customer/patron plans and features.
Manages and supports all related options and functions within the university's online transaction management system.
Uses other campus systems as required to assign meal plans, stored value plans, or credit plans accessible through the University ID card.
Uses other campus systems to charge or credit student accounts or manage faculty/staff payroll deduction but only as such charges or credits are related to the campus ID card Performs other related duties as assigned.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database programs, and presentation software as well as internet searches.
Ability to develop action plans for resolving and implementing organizational and operational problem goals.
Ability to plan and prioritize activities in an office setting.
Ability to work in a small, lively office environment and meaningfully contribute to team projects.
Competence in both oral and written English to communicate clearly and concisely.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious work relations with faculty, staff, students, and the community.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma is required and over 2 years of relevant experience.
5 years of related work experience may be substituted instead of educational qualifications.
