PURPOSE:
This position is part of SEIU's Property Services Division, supporting breakthrough initiatives (e.
g.
, airports campaign).
This role will help oversee the digital presence of key initiatives with a focus on supporting organizing goals through building and engaging the campaign's online community in the key audiences of workers, decision makers, journalists, and allied organizations; creating original content; monitoring and engaging with communities; social listening; analyzing industry trends; updating websites; creating digital action forms; improving our site content; and supporting strategic planning through data analysis.

Responsibilities:

) Performs a wide range of duties as assigned by the International Union and the Property Services Division, including but not limited to the following:
Coordinate the development and execution of vibrant and cohesive digital strategy.
Work directly with campaign staff, Property Division staff, and local staff to create and share digital content, drive online engagement of workers and other stakeholders, and build online recruiting and engagement tools for breakthrough initiatives.
Lead the development of content and content planning, and maintain digital assets, including website, social media, email, SMS, and other properties.
Offer regular analysis of effectiveness of tools, develop metrics for success and best practices.
Work directly with SEIU members, workers, and community members to build engagement, gather and develop content, and increase message reach.
Monitor online channels for information useful to SEIU organizing, political action, community engagement, and bargaining campaigns, and other union programs.
Work with communications and design teams to produce multi-media materials for digital projects.
Coordinate campaign/initiatives digital strategy with other SEIU locals and campaigns.
Research and evaluate various technologies as needed to assist organizers, communicators, and other SEIU staff and leaders on the most effective use of technology for communications and organizing purposes.
Performs other duties as assigned in support of the work of the department.
CONTACTS:
Interacts with SEIU and affiliate staff, council officials and representatives, consultants, vendors, outside organizations, writers, and others.
DIRECTION & DECISION-MAKING:
This position reports to the Assistant Director of Digital Organizing for breakthrough campaigns/initiatives and works with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION &
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English or a related field and three to five years of relevant work experience OR a combination of education and experience that would provide for the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Priority given to candidates with real-world digital organizing experience regardless of formal education.
Three or more years of work in digital strategy, organizing, media relations, public affairs, campaign communications, and/or use of digital tools for advocacy.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing digital strategy plans and content for advocacy campaigns and initiatives.
Previous experience with the labor movement or other advocacy organizations preferred.
SKILLS DESIRED:
Social media management, digital advertising, SMS texting programs, EveryAction or other CRM, basic graphic design and video editing skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally performed in an office setting, but may also occur in a variety of settings that are conducive to advancing the goals of the organization which may include settings such as driving, work-site visits, rallies, strikes, or other union activities.
Must be available for travel with overnight stays and able to work long and irregular hours.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
