Early Childhood Classroom Observer Position AppleTree Institute for Education Innovation is seeking temporary contracted early childhood classroom observers for the Baseline wave of its assessment program.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Independent contractor classroom observers are needed for the Baseline observation window, commencing September 25th and ending October 27th, 2023.
Assessors will be responsible for conducting classroom observations geared toward improving classroom quality.
Observations occur in the morning (approximately 7:
30 am - 12:
30 pm).
Assessors will be trained on the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS PK) administration.
Please note that CLASS PK training is NON-PAID.
Assessors will attend two days of virtual training on the CLASS PK tool and one day of PAID Logistics Training:

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess at least 30 college credit hours (in Education, Psychology, the Social Sciences, or a related field is strongly preferred).
Ideally, candidates will have at least two years minimum experience working with children or in an educational/psychometric setting.
Experience in assessment or early childhood settings is required.
Reliable transportation (our sites are all accessible by Metro and Metrobus), punctuality, and excellent communication skills are necessary.
You must also be able to provide an unofficial or official transcript.
All candidates are subject to a criminal background check.
Full COVID-19 vaccination and proof of vaccination are required for all contractors.
COMPENSATION:
Observations are compensated at $250 per classroom observation (max.
$500/day).
Logistics Training is compensated at $25 per hour.
Only assessors who complete all mandatory training and at least one scheduled observation day will be paid.
Ideally, assessors should be available all five days each week of the observation window; however, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
Assessors will only be compensated for completed observations during the observation window (observers are not paid for days they are not asked to observe).
Please note that assessors are not guaranteed daily observations during the observation window.
