Benefits Specialist Human Resources

Cameo Consulting Group, LLC a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria, VA, is seeking multiple qualified and available Benefits Specialists to support a prospective Federal client.
The position is full-time, long-term in nature, remote and available upon award.
TASKS/DUTIES:
When requested, Benefits Specialists shall assist TMD in the following:
Independently perform expert retirement and death benefits counseling and processing for all actions- including those that are of the most complex nature, and which are considered unique or rare.
Independently provide or participate in expert pre-planning retirement seminars as needed or requested, covering the full range and spectrum of retirement planning, including, but not limited to, long range retirement planning, Thrift Savings Plan decisions, and Social Security information for all employees.
Independently arrange and administer new employee orientations as needed or requested to provide all necessary information and forms for benefits, pay, attendance and leave and work conditions as well as answer all questions from new employees.
Independently provide expert one-on-one benefits and retirement counseling to all employees, including the most senior OIG employees, SES, Political Appointees, et cetera.
Independently and expertly coordinate open season events for OIG employees, including marketing and logistical support for events.
Independently and expertly conduct audits of employees electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) to ensure accurate information, identify errors or anomalies (e.
g.
Military and/or Civilian Deposit, Leave without Pay (LWOP), etc.
), and make or advise corrective action(s).
Act as an expert advisor to Benefits Specialists providing technical advice and guidance as needed or requested by TMD Leadership on all areas identified above.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree preferred 3
Years as experience Federal agency experience required In-depth knowledge of a wide range of employee relations issues including but not limited to harassment complaints, discipline, appeals, grievances, performance, awards, worker's compensation, benefits, retirements, and leave.
Possesses excellent writing skills for the purpose of drafting recommendations and various advisory memoranda.

Ability to perform administrative tasks Ability to perform a variety of administrative functions Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong oral and written communications skills Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Shall have experience with computers.
Shall have experience and efficiency in word processing and data entry.
Shall have experience in gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports.
Shall be able to read, write, speak, and understand English well enough to effectively communicate with customers.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
