Building Maintenance Shop Foreman Reports to:
Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Major Duties and Responsibilities Assigns, coordinates, prioritizes and directs other American Carpenters, Locksmith, Painters and Maintenance Technicians in the performance of various carpentry trade duties.
Provides technical assistance and guidance in the repair and/or replacement of facility components or equipment.
Instructs subordinates in the maintenance of complex systems throughout the space in Controlled Access Area.
Provides on-the-job training to semiskilled workers.
Ensure workers follow all established work procedures and Facilities Management Standard Operating Procedures.
Coach and counsel employees in the performance of their duties.
Report deficiencies to supervisors to ensure noted deficiencies are resolved.
Inspects the job site, requisitions all materials needed to complete the assigned task, and ensures the availability of transportation for the work crew, tools, equipment, and materials to the job site.
Ensures proper preventive maintenance checks have been performed.
Orders materials needed to complete the assigned task.
Assists the FAC management in estimating future material requirements.
Maintains and controls building maintenance shop supplies and tools inventories.
Prepares inputs for reports on the operation, preventive maintenance, testing and evaluation of pertinent equipment and systems.
Evaluates performance of American members of the Building Maintenance Shop.
