Hybrid- New Business Development Manager

Overview:
Counterpart International is seeking a New Business Development Manager to join the New Business Development (NBD) team.
The Manager will report to the Director of the NBD team and serve as a Proposal Manager on United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) opportunities.
The position is ideal for a candidate who has 8-10 years of experience working in international development, noteworthy proposal development experience, and an interest in building a career with a mission-oriented non-profit organization.
Responsibilities:
Identify and track relevant upcoming opportunities through advance intelligence gathering, partner relationships, and other resources.
Contribute to providing information, data analysis, and intelligence to support Counterparts pipeline, pursuit decisions, and growth strategies.
Manage the capture for multiple simultaneous bid opportunities.
This includes developing capture strategies and win themes, assessing competitors, conducting reconnaissance capture trips, overseeing recruitment, managing staff to prepare proposal materials in advance of solicitation release, and managing the internal Counterpart business development process for bid preparation.
Cultivate relationships with technical experts and writers to contribute to Counterpart proposal efforts.
Oversee external consultants, manage logistics and administrative tasks for proposal cycles including procurement and oversight of consultants and travel.
Serve as the Proposal Manager on Counterparts business development opportunities.
This includes working with technical leads to develop the technical approach, conducting in-country reconnaissance that informs the proposal design, facilitate technical design sessions, ensure quality and compliance of the proposal effort, contribute to technical and non-technical writing of the proposal, and oversee cost development and personnel recruitment.
Supervise full-time NBD Associate.
Provide mentorship, training, and support to staff and consultants contributing to proposals.
Cultivate and deepen relationships with international and local implementing partners and donors in Counterparts priority target regions and technical areas.
Lead partnership and recruitment calls.
Represent Counterpart at industry events.
Review and revise Counterparts guidance and templates for new business development in coordination with the NBD team.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Annual Salary Range:
$73,000-$117,000
Qualifications:
Master's degree in international development, public administration, public policy, or another relevant field.
Minimum of 8 years experience working in international development including program management, business development, and field experience.
A minimum of at least 4 years of USAID business development experience.
Strong writing, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; self-motivated, detail-oriented, self-directed, and curious.
Comfortable working and communicating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and under pressure against tight deadlines.
Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Bidding Business Development Coaching And Mentoring Communication Curiosity Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
