Patient Care Tech - PCT - Endoscopy Suite
The Endoscopy Technician, under the direction of a registered nurse, prepares the procedure room, selects and organizes the equipment, assists the physician, participates in an orderly and efficient room turnover based on a knowledge of endoscopic procedure, physician preference and patient care principles.
Prepares and maintains all endoscopic equipment.
This includes the cleaning and disinfection of endoscopic equipment, the cleaning and sterilization of accessory equipment, and the maintenance of a clean, orderly environment.
Night Shift - 7pm to 7:
30am dependant on unit needs.
Minimum Education and Experience High school graduate.
One year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician with completion of Endoscopy Technician Core Curriculum training to include Steris Operator Training Course, Care and Handling of Flexible Endoscopes and Equipment, Electrosurgical Safety, and ERCP From Start to Finish.
Candidates with one year experience as Health Care Assistant or Clinical Associate and knowledge of assisting with procedures and working with physicians may be considered for trainee position for up to one year while completing the required course work.
Current CPR Certification required.
