Position Summary ETS's Product Innovation and Development division is seeking a creative and innovative individual to serve as a UI Designer.
We are user-obsessed across all phases of research, design, and development with a focus on developing adaptive and personalized learning products with compelling user interfaces and AI-enhanced experiences.
Our products are built on a foundation of learning and cognitive science principles that leverage interactive task design, machine learning, and data sciences to be integrated into various teaching, learning, and assessment solutions.
The UI Designer will work in a cross-functional team of researchers, UX designers, and scientists and will be involved in all aspects of product design and development, from research and ideation, through detailed design, development, and iteration.
Working in collaboration with UX, the UI designer will translate wireframes to high-fidelity designs using best practices for user interface design and collaborate with both internal and external colleagues and consultants to ensure on-time completion of product goals.
The UI Designer collaborates closely with UX Researchers, UX Designers, Developers, and Product Owners.
Responsibilities
Create visually appealing and highly functional interface designs for digital products, websites, and applications.

Support and collaborate with other designers to develop high-fidelity designs that align with brand guidelines and design standards through the use of color, typography, photography, iconography, and UI best practices.

Design and refine visual elements such as icons, and graphics using design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Contribute to the creation of prototypes using motion design principles and modern prototyping tools.

Partner with senior designers to present design concepts and communicate design decisions and rationale.

Contribute to the maintenance of various design systems, UI kits, and pattern libraries to ensure consistency across branded products.

Collaborate with UX researchers, UX designers, learning scientists, instructional designers, developers, and product owners in cross-functional agile teams to translate user-centered design concepts into user-friendly interfaces.

Collaborate with product owners and developers to ensure the successful implementation of designs.

Advocate for modern design principles, best practices, and decisions to key stakeholders and cross-functional teams, ensuring the best possible user experience.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging design tools, patterns, and best practices, to continuously improve the aesthetic and usability of ETS products.

Remain current with usability and accessibility guidelines that change with evolving and emerging technologies.

Bachelor's or higher in User Interface Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
Relevant Years of
Experience:

At least 3 years of professional experience in UI design, or similar role with a strong portfolio of product design projects demonstrating the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale.
Candidates with less or more experience will be considered at the appropriate level.
Other Requirements:

Proficiency in design tools, including but not limited to Figma (required) and Adobe Creative Suite
Basic knowledge of accessibility and usability best practices.

Understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy
Knowledge of UI patterns, interaction design, interface design, design systems, and best practices in responsive and mobile-first design.

Understanding and interpreting brand guidelines to create visually appealing designs.

Ability to articulate design concepts and decisions to cross-functional teams.

Experience with prototyping tools and techniques.

Proactive communicator with the ability to collaborate with product owners and flag any risks or dependencies.

Experience working with AI, ed-tech, teaching, and learning, and/or language learning a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
