We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and collaborative professional to serve as IT Applications Architect III to join our IT team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Development you will:
Provide support for critical business functions through the architecture of applications systems in support of various USAC Programs and Departments by applying industry standards to Applications, Systems, Networks, Database and Security Design.
The position entails managing multiple applications used by an organization to ensure a scalable, reliable, and available architectural system.
Architecture, design and document of software applications and/or systems.
Establish and improve software architecture design, development standards, procedures, and recommend application development best practices for architecture and design.
Support critical business functions by leading the architecture, design, integration and implementation of application systems.
Coordinate with departments, programs and users in the support of business applications architecture and design.
Lead software architecture development on multiple projects and ensure that architecture and design specifications are met.
Provide architectural design and technical leadership and guidance to the development teams.
Carry out design and source code reviews to ensure conformance to set application standards.
Maintain a high-level proficiency with a wide range of technologies and architectural design concepts.
Research, evaluate, recommend and implement/integrate technical solutions, tools, COTS and open- source products.
Write technical design, architecture, assessment and other documents as required.
Lead application and systems integration efforts.
Ensure proper documentation of software design and developing processes in order to produce appropriate procedures for application use.
Represent the IT department in terms of architecture design and software development expertise in coordination with other departments and programs as well as USAC IT Architecture and Standards department.
About You Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred) and relevant technical training and certifications.
Five (5) to Seven (7) years of directly related experience.
One (1) to Two (2) years of business leadership experience.
Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience in.
NET or Java development, Oracle, Postgres, SDLC tools, source control, and RDBMS concepts.
Five (5) to Seven (7) years' experience in web application and application development, software engineering, design patterns, object-oriented design and architecture, internet application development, web services, and technical documentation.
Five (5)
years of experience in application security concepts, domain modeling and database design, and spring framework.
Knowledge of configuration management and release management principles.
Knowledge of networking and system engineering concepts.
Knowledge of network and applications security concepts and principles.
Experience with PL, J2EE, SOAP and is desired.
High transaction/data volume systems, front end technologies, integration of application software, RDBMS, scripting languages, and high availability architectures.
Agile SDLC; Scrum/Kanban preferred, SQL, implementation of COTS products, and authentication and authorization technologies (SSO, SAML).
Continuous delivery, Continuous Integration, and contribution to open-source community.
Integration of application software, high availability architectures, exposure to enterprise architecture concepts.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
