Delivery Driver
Lee's Flower And Card Shop Inc in Washington, DC is looking for one delivery driver to join our 16 person strong team.
We are located on 1026 U St Nw Lee's Flowers And Card Sh.
Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working.
Duties:
o Load customer orders into the delivery van o Inspect floral arrangements for damages, and report any issues to the florist.
o Take arrangements to customers' homes, area hospitals and funeral homes o Obtain signatures for proof of receipt o Confirm deliveries via phone application o May be required to assist in floral shop o Unpack floral freight deliveries and organize flowers in the workroom or cooler o Clean delivery van, design room and work areas o Stock or organize goods o Responsible for the maintenance of the delivery van o Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while demonstrating a superior level of hospitality when working with customers and staff.
o Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
o Must have a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record.
o Experience driving a commercial cargo van o Good working knowledge of the DMV area o General computer knowledge o Ability to interact effectively, professionally, and courteously with customers and staff.
o Ability to relate to persons of all ages, diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
o Comply with a flexible work schedule.
Education and/or
Experience:
o A minimum of a High School diploma, or equivalent, is highly desirable.
o A minimum of 1 year delivery experience required.
o Should expect constant bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching; and requires full extension of arms, grasping, holding, and pulling in all of these positions.
o Should be able to lift and carry approximately 25 pounds.
Available shifts and compensation:
We have available shifts all days of the week.
Compensation is $14.
00 - $16.
00/hour.
