Senior Program Analyst (Action Officer) with Security Clearance
Overview VTG is seeking a Senior Program Analyst (Strategic Action Officer with NAVSEA) with strong Acquisition experience to support the Navy Flag Officers, Executive Directors and COS for SEA 21 to support Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization and SustainmentSEA 21 provides wholeness to the Fleet by serving as the primary technical interface, ensuring surface ships are modernized with the latest technologies and remain mission relevant throughout each ship's service lifeThe organization also maintains inactive ships for future disposal, donation, or transfer, to include follow-on technical support to our partner naviesPosition is located onsite at the Washington Navy Yard in DCWhat will you do? The Senior Program Analyst (Action Officer) shall provide on-demand timely professional support services to the Flag Officers, Executive Directors and COS for SEA 21The requirement is for a proven communication, analytics, and strategic action officer, a capable person to provide SEA 21 Leadership with knowledge management, strategic planning, brief development, action tracking, and communication support to include messaging, configuration control, database management, and proactive thinkingPrimary
Responsibilities:
o Proactively and re-actively respond short and long term asking from SEA 21 Leadership, coordinating as necessary with stakeholders, to provide quality on time products to include communication strategies, briefs, point papers, and analysis.
o Will work strategic initiatives to assess SEA 21 data and metrics to make recommendations on gathering, filing, controlling, and maintaining data for rapid use.
o The scope includes developing strategic initiatives that focus on improved business practices as well as improved data utilization, messaging and tasker responses, and technical/program execution processesDo you have what it takes? Required Skills:
o 15 years of Experience in DOD Analyst Support to include Flag Level Strategy Planning, Communication Approaches, Brief Development, Knowledge Management, and Process Improvement.
o Sharepoint Knowledge/Experience.
o MS Suite - Specifically Power Point, Word, Access, and Excel.
o Proactive and excellent customer service with management experience.
o Creative, poised, and flexible supporting TSFO leadership.
o Must have active DOD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain one Preferred Skills:
o Experience as a former Acquisition Program Managero 10 Years DOD Civilian/Contractor management experience, prefer NAVSEA 21 Modernization and Maintenance Experience, shipboard experienceo Prior Military experience.
Recommended Skills Business Ethics Business Process Improvement Configuration Management Creativity Customer Service Data Analysis Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
