The Data Entry Operator I primarily processes information from standardized source documents that have been pre-coded, minimizing the need for extensive selecting, coding, or interpreting of data.
Any issues, such as erroneous items, codes, or missing information, are resolved at the supervisory level.
The nature of the work is routine and repetitive.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry tasks with precision and adherence to established procedures and instructions.
- Utilize standardized source documents to input data, minimizing the need for extensive interpretation or coding.
- Address and resolve any issues, such as erroneous items, codes, or missing information, through collaboration with supervisory personnel.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of entered data, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Work collaboratively within a team to achieve collective data entry objectives.
- Adhere to established timelines for data entry tasks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to follow specific procedures and detailed instructions.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry software.
- Ability to work effectively under close supervision in a routine and repetitive work environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
