Role Description:
Responsibilities:
This role plays a critical role in company, and will contribute to the client's mission of transforming healthcare Seeking a skilled and motivated individual Designing, building, and maintaining scalable SQL-based data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into our data warehouse.
Ensure efficient data processing and seamless integration with various systems.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, identifying opportunities for data acquisition and integration, and providing data-driven solutions.
Optimizing database performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and data integrity while handling large volumes of data.
Developing and maintaining database schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures to support efficient data retrieval and reporting.
Working closely with data analysts and data scientists to enable efficient data exploration, analysis, and modeling.
Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines, identifying, and resolving issues to ensure uninterrupted data flow.
Implementing data security measures and adhering to data governance policies to protect sensitive data.
Staying up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the SQL and data engineering space, evaluating their potential for enhancing our data infrastructure Collaborating with the DevOps team to deploy and manage data-related systems and tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on SQL-based data engineering.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL processes, data modeling, and database optimization techniques.
Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Luigi, or similar frameworks.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Microsoft Azure SQL Data Warehouse Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration techniques.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala) for scripting and automation.
Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
