Performs tasks in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence, such as coding and filing documents.
Handles basic office equipment, including photocopiers, fax machines, multiline phones, voicemail systems, and mailing machines.
Little or no subject-matter knowledge is required, but judgment is exercised in task execution.
Requires familiarity with office unit terminology.
Selects appropriate methods from a variety of procedures.
Makes simple adaptations and interpretations of substantive guides and manuals.
Refers recognized problems to others.
Utilizes subject-matter knowledge and judgment for assignments with numerous steps varying in nature and sequence.
Selects from alternative methods and refers complex problems to higher authorities.
Assists in administrative matters, maintains various records, verifies statistical reports, compiles information, and handles complaints.
May direct lower-level clerks.
Requires at least four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of academic and relevant experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
